Planning for operations and maintenance
The Office of the Waterfront is committed to being a great steward of the public spaces that Waterfront Seattle will create and to ensuring that the entire community can enjoy these spaces.
The Initial Operations and Maintenance Report [PDF, 3.96 MB] is the first in a series of steps that will ultimately result in a complete Operations and Maintenance Plan for the new waterfront. This initial report provides a detailed assessment of operations and maintenance costs that reflect the current level of program design.
The final Operations and Maintenance Plan will be a detailed program for operating and maintaining Waterfront Seattle, including landscaping, facilities, event programming, safety and security and more. The plan will identify the public and non-profit entities that will together operate and maintain the new waterfront, and propose necessary changes to laws and administrative rules to promote a safe and welcoming waterfront for all.
